For those of you who heard about the “Toll at German Music Festival” called Loveparade. 19 people died and 342 people got wounded due to a mass hysteria in a long but thin tunnel leading to the festival area.
I’ve been there with for of my friends. We couldn’t believe the absurdity and stupidity we saw. People smoking pot while taking pills by washing them down with vodka. A highly pregnant woman with her 6 years old walking hand in hand. Foreigners doing cocaine while staying in a crowd full of strangers.
I never really had the feeling of total panic while visting the parade, but I certainly didn’t find bliss in this event. Me and my friends did not see dead guys. Neither have we been active part of a mass hysteria.
The German radio station 1live said, that mostly every visitor of the Loveparade will have a story to tell when everything’s over. That is true indeed.
The Loveparade will not continue in future.
Me and my friends are all as fine as we can be after such a shock.
